To the east of the property Dent railway station can be viewed, this is the highest mainland station in England and at the head of the valley the impresive Dent Head Viaduct which is part of the Settle / Carlisle line. Allen Haw overlooks a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The characteristic features of the limestone geology provides fascinating footpath walks along the River Dee, which runs along the bottom of the valley. To the east of the property Dent railway station can be seen, this is the highest mainland station in England and at the head of the valley is the impressive Dent Head Viaduct whjich is part of the Settle-Carlisle line. Seasonally, as to be expected from a National Park, native flora is abundant including the giant bell flower and sundew. |
